Some information might come from forms you fill in, other information such as your IP or browsers information will be collected automatically when you visit the website. - Vehicle Information: Details about the vehicle you wish to sell, including make, model, year, registration number, and other relevant vehicle information.
We do not collect more information than is necessary to provide you with a quote and complete any associated transactions. You do not have to provide us with the information we request, however, it may affect the services we can provide to you.

We will take all practicable steps to safeguard the personal information of our customers. This may include engaging a third party to provide services relating to the security and storage of that information.
We will not continue to store personal information when it is no longer required for any of the purposes for which it may be used.

As a We Buy Cars customer, you consent to your personal information being disclosed to or obtained from other organisations or people we consider appropriate for the purposed listed above.
Those organisation or people include:
- our related companies;
- third party service providers who assist us in providing our services, including vehicle information to obtain additional pricing information for your quote;
- government departments, government bodies or agencies in New Zealand or overseas (including tax authorities);
- the New Zealand Transport Agency’s “Driver Check” service;
- any organisation or person providing us with guarantees or security under any agreement with you;
- our existing and potential business partners;
- any organisation or person to whom we consider assigning or transferring any of our rights under any agreement with you;

- Opting-out
- Obtaining Confidential status
Opting out is a very limited form of restricting access to your information, and it does not mean that the New Zealand Transport Agency will never disclose your information to third parties. We may disclose your information where that disclosure is permitted under the Privacy Act, such as where the disclosure:
- is necessary to facilitate a sale of all or part of Stadium’s business; or
- is necessary to prevent a serious or imminent threat to public health or safety;
- is authorised by the Privacy Commissioner;
- is of information which is already publicly available; or
- is of information which is not in a form which identifies you.
Your Rights and Choices
You have certain rights in relation to your personal information. These include:
- Access and Correction: You may request access to your personal information and ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: You may request the deletion of your personal information where it is no longer needed for the purposes outlined above, unless we are required to retain it by law.
